Jared Wason

Jared joined for Double Feature 2019, spurred on from his viewing of Princess Ida 2019 to support the showstopping and talented Kira Jukes, and shortly thereafter found themselves volunteering for the position of ordinary member on the committee, despite less than half the society knowing their name at that point... Jared was hesitant at first, but truly had fun playing the unofficial part of Guy Fieri in the chorus of Double Feature 2019. Soon thereafter, he found himself on a prod team, when the show fell into committee care for H.M.S Pinafore 2020, helping Kira with graphics and props, (including a yellow background on the promotional material. It is worth noting that Jared is yellow/blue colourblind...), and patenting the infamous 'damme damme' dance, and partaking in the great ritual first coined by Billy Boulton simply known as "true..!". Jared has remained on committee since then, serving a term as the secretary before exhaustedly taking back the mantle of ordinary member, eager to take back the title of 'protector of Pepe, and stay on the committee after the horror of COVID-19 to see the society into a new, post-COVID era and the 50th anniversary celebrations! Despite being a painstakingly hopeless romantic, Jared will indeed refrain from anything soppy or weirdly poetic in this article, at least for the time being, but that is of course subject to change so watch this space...
