Reimagined as a circus, the character were given Circus roles:
 
Sir Marmaduke was gender swapped to Dame Marmaduke and was the ring master, her son Alexis became the Lion Tamer. Lady Sangazure was the equestrian and her daughter Aline the acrobat. Dr Daly become a former vicar turned escapologist, whilst the Notary remained the Notary and was given the full name Gilbert Banksworth. Mrs Partlet became the clown and her daughter Constance the trapeze artist. The most significant change was the expansion of Hercules' role and he was given the added plot line of being Mrs Partlet's son.
 
The setting was Dame Marmaduke's Big Top/Circus rather than Sir Marmaduke's mansion.
 
 
Between the Overture and First song, entrance of the gladiators was added. During this and the overture Circus society and members of chorus gave a circus performance.

The Sorcerer was LOpSoc Summer show for 2026, and was performed 10th-13th June 2026 . It was being set in a golden age era circus with all the cast reimagined as members of a circus. This show was also taken to the G&S Festival 2026 in Buxton (see: Sorcerer 2026 (Buxton)).
