The Pirates of Penzance was performed on Thursday 21st August 2014 (matinee) in the 21st International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Harrogate at the [[Harrogate Theatre]].

Pirates of Penzance won 5 awards at the UNIfrest including Best Show leaving LOpSoc as International Champions.

Pirates of Penzance won the following awards:

Best Director - [[Jon North]]

Best Musical Director - [[Thomas Joy]]

Best Character Actor - [[Richard Patient]]

Best Male Performance - [[Joe Hand]]

Additionally two other performances were nominated for awards:

Best Female Voice - [[Rosie Bowen]]

Sweeney Todd was performed by LOpSoc in Summer 2014 at the [[Annex Theatre]].

It was their first foray into the works of Stephen Sondheim and received highly favourable reviews and some of LOpSoc's highest audience numbers.
