Born Benjamin Jonathan Oliver Walker, Ben is a third year English and philosophy student (though he prefers the term "philosopher poet") who blundered into LOpSoc more or less by accident in his first year, and stayed because he liked the productions' constant use of the word "wherefore". He is the incumbent Loremaster for the 2015/16 academic year, which means he's now responsible for editing and updating all the pages on here to be more current and "on-message with LOpSoc's new corporate philosophy".<br />

Ben began his PA career searching for personal validation in acid trips of shows like ComedySoc's cross-PA production ''The Case of the Film Genre Killer'' and his own stand-up, with limited success. Soon after Genre Killer ended, he and fellow "innocent" first year [[Katie Giles]] were poached by HMS Pinafore director [[Joe Hand]] (the Inspector from ''Genre Killer'') to screw around in the back of his show, thus beginning a beautiful relationship with Victorian colonial propaganda. Ben then went up to Harrogate with the rest of LOpSoc to be a punk rock fairy - in his words, "if there are three words I want to describe me at all times, those would be the three". There, he made an excellent friend in his cup of tea, which was, to quote " the only thing that didn't have the capacity to hurt me." Building on that success, he then took a short holiday to Anatevka to be the world's worst Bolshevik in LOpSoc's 2016 production of [[Fiddler on the Roof 2016]]. <br />

After a pretty successful run in Fiddler, he then took on the role of the Duke and Duchess' valet/servant/pet monkey Luiz in LOpSoc's upcoming summer show The Gondoliers. He hopes his grade 8 coconut playing skills were up to the task. After one run of super tight costume trousers that he was reassured were totally fine (and weren't) he then proceeded to take them to Harrogate for [[Gondoliers 2016 (Harrogate)]] to subdue the adjudicators into giving us good marks. <br />

Next, he took on being Koko in [[The Mikado 2017]], where his main duties were complaining about his busted knee, having intensely spiky hair and inserting wrestling references into a Victorian show, which amused him greatly. [[Half a Sixpence 2017]] gave him the chance to have a jaunt to nearly his hometown to play Sid, the Marxist. Once a Marxist... After musing gently on the importance of reminding the people Folkestone is nowhere near as nice as Half a Sixpence makes out, he then re-donned the Sonic hair to play Koko once more on the Harrogate stage for [[The Mikado 2017]], now with the added task of ignoring [[Katie Giles]] who had nothing to do but annoy him relentlessly as his creator and therefore boss. <br />

Ben began his PA career searching for personal validation in acid trips of shows like ComedySoc's cross-PA production ''The Case of the Film Genre Killer'' and his own stand-up, with limited success. Soon after Genre Killer ended, he and fellow "innocent" first year [[Katie Giles]] were poached by HMS Pinafore director [[Joe Hand]] (the Inspector from ''Genre Killer'') to screw around in the back of his show, thus beginning a beautiful relationship with Victorian colonial propaganda. Ben then went up to Harrogate with the rest of LOpSoc to be a punk rock fairy - in his words, "if there are three words I want to describe me at all times, those would be the three". There, he made an excellent friend in his cup of tea, which was, to quote " the only thing that didn't have the capacity to hurt me." Building on that success, he then took a short holiday to Anatevka to be the world's worst Bolshevik in LOpSoc's 2016 production of [[Fiddler on the Roof 2016]]. <br />

After a pretty successful run in Fiddler, he then took on the role of the Duke and Duchess' valet/servant/pet monkey Luiz in LOpSoc's upcoming summer show The Gondoliers. '''Joe "Wanna" Hand''' is a third year zoology student at Southampton, who kids himself that he'll be able to leave Southampton when he graduates and seek alternative arrangements in London, where the pavements are gold and only sometimes chewing gum. He also sometimes refers to himself in the third person. He was the LOpSoc secretary for the 2014/2015 year, and ordinary member for the 2015/2016 year. <br />

His LOpSoc career began with his first appearance as the Pirate King in the Southampton run of [[Pirates of Penzance 2014]] and [[Pirates of Penzance 2014 (Harrogate)]], during which he hip thrusted so much at the audience that his pelvis turned into solid gold. To this day, Joe's hips have about the same value as the GDP of Lesotho. His role as Toby in [[Sweeney Todd 2014]] was more or less the exact opposite of the Pirate King, and turned his co-star [[Jon North]] off meat pies and shaved heads for life. To sing as Toby, Joe had to sing higher than his comfortable range, and for around two weeks after the show he spent around three weeks sounding like an understudy for Alvin and the Chipmunks.<br />

He took a small break from LOpSoc shows to star in the cross-PA "mescaline trip" of a show ''The Case of the Film Genre Killer'', before returning to direct [[H.M.S. Pinafore 2015]] with Jon North and several of his knees. His "angry fairy" character for [[Iolanthe 2015]]'s Harrogate run will not be forgotten - especially not by several other chorus members' boots, which still bear scars from his outbursts of pure, unrestrained rage. Fans of Joe's "great big busshy beard" will be excited to learn that he plays the magnificently fuzzed Tevye in LOpSoc's 2016 production of [[Fiddler on the Roof]].<br />

He has sung for 7 years in a choir, and for 3 of those was part of an a capella group. He owns 37 tortoises, a ferret, a St. Bernard, a cat, two chickens and three preying mantises called Haley, Ophelia and Beans, who are also all part of an a capella group.<br />

He guesses he'd probably like to end up living in the Lake District or something, although anywhere which has a solid supply of d20s and beard combs will do just fine.<br />

Joe died in March 2014 when he was mercilessly shaved off of the face of [[Ulf]], his host organism, but was reborn weeks later after an industrial accident created a perfect genetic clone from three stray hairs, a printout of his Reddit karma, and an old D&D Monster Manual.<br />

Rhiannon entered the world small and quiet (we wish it stayed that way). She is a hybrid of Welsh and English. Originally blonde, when she started turning brunette she began experimenting with various dangerous chemicals to rectify her hair colour. She has completed her study of BA in English and has continued at Uni. Southampton with a MA. She is known for her feline qualities (e.g. licking herself, meowing to be fed, and scratching bed posts). She has a low mezzo-soprano voice which has jazzy tones, making it very hard to fit her into operetta characters. Her ability to have an amazing voice yet not being able to be cast due to a lack of a suitable character has coined the term "Rhiannon Syndrome". Someone who has "Rhiannon Syndrome" is not necessarily lacking in vocals, however cannot be cast due to a lack of a suitable character.<br />

Amber, a first year music student, joined LOpSoc in 2016 for Fiddler on the Roof, not expecting the tag team cult effort of [[Ben Walker]] and [[Katie Giles]] raining down meaning that it was too late for escape. She may have questionable murderous French ancestors, so we don't mock her TOO much, for the safety of our English souls. <br />

Having fled the burning remains of Anatevka in [[Fiddler on the Roof 2016]], she now moves onto getting sweet revenge on [[Katie Giles]] in her role as Fiametta in the upcoming run of The Gondoliers by refusing to let her ruin the plan of eschewing the gondoliers in favour of Marco and Giuseppe by way of violence. She is also taking on the mammoth task of clothing the entirety of LOpSoc with beautiful clothes as the wardrobe director of the aforementioned show. <br />

Born Benjamin Jonathan Oliver Walker, Ben is a second year English and philosophy student (though he prefers the term "philosopher poet") who blundered into LOpSoc more or less by accident in his first year, and stayed because he liked the productions' constant use of the word "wherefore". He is the incumbent Loremaster for the 2015/16 academic year, which means he's now responsible for editing and updating all the pages on here to be more current and "on-message with LOpSoc's new corporate philosophy".<br />

Ben began his PA career searching for personal validation in acid trips of shows like ComedySoc's cross-PA production ''The Case of the Film Genre Killer'' and his own stand-up, with limited success. Soon after Genre Killer ended, he and fellow "innocent" first year [[Katie Giles]] were poached by HMS Pinafore director [[Joe Hand]] (the Inspector from ''Genre Killer'') to screw around in the back of his show, thus beginning a beautiful relationship with Victorian colonial propaganda. Ben then went up to Harrogate with the rest of LOpSoc to be a punk rock fairy - in his words, "if there are three words I want to describe me at all times, those would be the three". There, he made an excellent friend in his cup of tea, which was, to quote " the only thing that didn't have the capacity to hurt me." Building on that success, he's now taking a short holiday to Anatevka to be the world's worst Bolshevik in LOpSoc's 2016 production of [[Fiddler on the Roof 2016]]. <br />

Marco and Giuseppe are two merry republican Venetian gondoliers, recently engaged to Gianetta and Tessa. What is their surprise when, right after their wedding, the Spanish inquisitor Don Alhambra shows up and reveals that one of them is no other than the King of Barataria! <br />

The inquisitor stole the baby prince from Barataria many years ago and brought him to be raised by a gondolier in Venice. Said gondolier died when Marco and Giuseppe were younger, and now the only person who can identify the true King is Inez, the lady who nursed the royal baby back in Barataria. Which is strange, as she started her university career thinking she was honestly going to get some work done and read a lot of fun books. Having started her PA career pretending to be both a French woman and an easily distracted factory worker in ComedySoc's 2014 "acid trip" of a show ''The Case of the Film Genre Killer'', Katie then had her post-show blues exploited by her fellow cast member [[Joe Hand]], who was directing [[H.M.S. Pinafore 2015]] at the time. Joe's heartless pragmatism (he needed more altos for the Sisters, Cousins and Aunts chorus) paid off, as she went on to be the world's most cult-orientated fresher possible when she boarded H.M.S Pinafore in February 2015. She was seduced by the opportunity to be a Victorian lady, bob and repeat her status endlessly, even going as far as to buy the DVD of LOpSoc's performance of [[Pirates of Penzance 2014]] - a show which happened before she even came to university and thus she wasn't even in. In her words, "It's still a good show, who cares". Such commitment to the society earned her the title of LOpSoc's "Biggest Fan", a title which can now only be relinquished in the event of her death in a duel with another worthy foe.<br />
